ENCS and the Military Community: Spangdahlem Pinewood Derby
Posted on Mon, Jan 24, 2011 @ 02:47 PM

The Pinewood Derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. The Cub Scouts, with help from their parents, build their own cars from wood; usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. The rest is up to their imaginations!
For the 3rd year Exchange New Car Sales was asked to be involved in the Spangdahlem Girl and Boy Scouts pine wood derby. With the ever presence of deployments these volunteer organizations are in need of support both financially and with manpower. The ENCS representatives of Spangdahlem jumped at the chance and with a donation, show cars, lot dress up and their fantastic BBQing skills, Exchange New Car Sales was able to help make the Pinewood Derby a success for the Spangdahlem Girl and Boy Scouts.

Special thanks to ENCS representative Dennis Peak for running the Hot Dog BBQ and to David Barker for becoming the official announcer for the event!
